Michael Zhang

Michael Zhang is a freshman at Cherry Creek High School. He’s passionately curious about science, math, and technology. After giving his  first TEDx speech on video game addiction, Michael decided to extend the TED platform so that more people could have the opportunity to have their ideas heard.

Michael loves watching TED talks and often rewatches his favorites. He especially enjoys topics on space science and life science. He often ponders about the past, present, and future of space and life and loves discussing it too. In his free time, Michael enjoys playing sports and chess.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
