Emma Wang

Emma Wang is a sophomore at Cherry Creek High School with passions in art and science. As a member of varsity Speech & Debate, as well as a nationally placed FBLA competitor, Emma finds purpose in expressing and bringing forth ideas to discussion. Logical rhetoric learned from debate and thinking under pressure from FBLA allow her to formulate thoughts with more clarity and understanding. Through TEDx, Emma hopes to listen to the thoughts of others and gain an increased awareness of the variety of ideas that exist within the community. 

Emma finds a creative outlet in art through a broad range of mediums, from sketching and oil painting to ceramics. Through art, she feels as though emotions can be understood in ways that words cannot process.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TED
